We were at the end of January. I really liked the resort, the excellent quality of the slopes, interesting, diverse trails for different levels of visitors. Special thanks for the safety: no rocks, trees, poles are all fenced off, instructors and ski police are on the slopes, the lifts are all new. There are plenty of places to relax, have a snack, and rent, and the prices are reasonable. The snow quality is excellent. There is not much to do in the city itself, except to take a walk/ relax within the hotel. There are no sidewalks, and walking around the city is not possible. There are a couple of shops, a cafe, a souvenir shop, a spa, bowling, billiards. In general, there is something to occupy the evening, but if you don't ski / snowboard, there is nothing to do, you can't walk to places with entertainment. I definitely recommend Gudauri for outdoor activities!

A great vacation near Moscow, measured by current realities. There are few trails, but the convenient location, beautiful views, the Lars pass and hospitable Georgians. Delicious cuisine, wine, chacha and the convenient location of the new village near the ski lifts. There are few shops, lots of rental cars and restaurants. The resort is open from December to early April. If it's not covered with snow, it's a pleasure to ride. It's better to fly through Tbilisi: 2.5 hours by car and you're there. I do not recommend leaving Vladikavkaz: the road is difficult in winter, the pass is closed, the asphalt is so-so. And both customs offices are not very friendly at the entrance. The exit is normal, but the entrance is as you get. I recommend it!!!

Good resort, advantages: - many trails of different levels, - high throughput, no queues, - a fairly cheap ski pass relative to other places - if you settle in novy Gudauri, you can walk to the lift, which is a huge plus. - there are all the necessary cafes, shops, rental offices within walking distance - feeling of safety and comfort - I imagine that when it snows, you can ride very well in the fields between the tracks, it's a pity I didn't get caught in the snowfall. Minuses: - the food is quite expensive and I would say mediocre in many places, look for good places and stick to them - you can't buy anything useful in the shops for eating in apartments, and the food itself is super expensive. - the pedestrian infrastructure has not been thought out at all, beautiful buildings have been built, and people in ski boots need to jump over snowdrifts and puddles and walk on ice to get to the lift

We were from January 11 to January 17. Great rides! Lots of prepared trails, lots of lifts, plenty of room for freeriders, and no queues. There are cafes for different budgets, a supermarket with everything you need, and exchangers with an unfavorable exchange rate. Cons: we didn't find the place (or it doesn't exist) where you can change shoes. There is nowhere to change shoes at the slope and leave your shoes, and if you walk out of the hotel in boots, you are not allowed to return to the hotel in ski boots.

Excellent resort, excellent infrastructure. The prices for ski passes are quite affordable. The tracks are not bad, there are quite a lot of them, at any level. Some "blues" are quite red in other places. But they were cleaned in the evening, and it was snowing at night. As a result, there is a mess on the tracks in the morning. There aren't many people on weekdays, there aren't many queues, the maximum that they stood in was 15 minutes in the morning. The only thing is, we weren't lucky with the weather at all, it was +-clear for only one day. On other days, it's like in the video. There are a lot of restaurants in new Gudauri, but the prices bite. There is also a store with +- normal prices. If you rent an apartment, you can cook at home. In the evening, there is music in several places, an ice rink and a spa. There is also an evening wheelchair on one track. Overall, the impressions are positive, but for normal skiing you need good weather (or at least cloudy)

An ambiguous impression In terms of skiing, it is an excellent European resort. Inexpensive rental and quite acceptable quality of equipment in it. The tracks are smooth, varied and in sufficient quantity. There are not a lot of people either on the slopes or in the queues for the lifts. The lifts themselves are fresh And these most recent lifts are all covered with Russophobic inscriptions. That is, you can find those that are not written, but there are few of them. And that's the main reason why I'm not sure if it's worth coming here again. Food is a separate topic. It's delicious and there's a lot of it. It's hard to resist the temptation. But the quality of service has room to grow. And I wish there was more local friendliness... or maybe we were so unlucky.…

The good slides are mostly blue tracks, there is some red and off-piste skiing. New fast Doppelmayer lifts. The trails are not very well marked, there are no signs with names and difficulty levels. Very inexpensive - skipass for 5 days - about 1,800 rubles a day - positions itself as the cheapest resort in Europe. They drive themselves on the tracks, the British, Israel, Ukrainians, Poles - the whole international. A ski patrol is driving, rescuers are patrolling. The level of skiing is very different, people without skills climb steep hills and fall. Novy Gudauri itself is a town of apartments, rentals, bars, restaurants - right by the lifts. The equipment is slightly inflated - $100 a night. But in general, they are normal. The main thing is right next to the pickups. There are a couple of shops - two Pairs. The snow on the streets is not cleaned at all - leaving the apartment you are afraid of breaking your leg. Noisy taxi drivers honk their horns all the time, and the police swear at them. Evening-night, young people walking, night - dogs barking. There are a lot of dogs - calm, chipped, lying anywhere - even on the tracks sometimes. Tbilisi is 100 km away - under normal conditions, 2.5 hours by transfer. Transfer - 300 GEL. The wine is inexpensive - the red wine is very decent locally. I recommend you to visit New Gudauri!

The first time in Georgia. We were on New Year's holidays, on the first day we went to Gudauri itself in vain, we stood 3.5 hours in a dead traffic jam on the way back. They didn't do that anymore, they left the car in Kobi. From there, take a 25-30 minute lift and you're already on the mountain. We took skis a couple of times, it cost 30 lari, 900 rubles, I advise you to visit this resort, even on new year's eve I did not say that there were traffic jams on the lifts. Only the highest point was closed. The rest of the tracks were open. Skating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Well, the cost of the day is still ridiculous. For 4 days of riding for three, we paid 14,500 rubles. Minuses

A wonderful resort for family holidays. The trails are mostly blue and wide. The trails are well prepared. If you get under the forecast, you can also give out a good freeride, there are guides available. Queues like those in Krasnaya Polyana are rare. Skipass is three times cheaper than on Rosa. Lots of cafes, lots of sunshine. There is also leisure in the form of snowmobiling, paragliding, etc.

Oh... an ambiguous resort... if you are used to Polyana's service, you will find many surprises... the tracks are being prepared for a blunder, the places where there are rocks or earth are not marked in any way, so you will definitely damage your equipment. Prices in restaurants are extremely high, and the service is simply zero. Even the two of them waited for khinkali and kharcho for more than 30 minutes, they carried the wine for 15 minutes ... in the end, the most delicious was the shurma on the square near the stage)) The Friends restaurant wasn't bad either, but the price tag there bites (( on the plus side, a skipass for 2000 rubles (70 lari). Of course, it's much cheaper than Polyana, and rent is also not expensive, according to friends who used it. The resort is 2100-3200 meters above sea level, so the snow is not as wet as in Sochi, which allows you to ride almost until closing time. I think we'll come back, but the main thing, as my friends said, is not to wait for anything and just enjoy the moment))

Beautiful mountains, wide long trails, but the attitude of some staff to their work and to their guests was simply amazing. On the first day, I bought a ski pass at the Pirveli ticket office and replenished it there every subsequent day. On day 3, I was stopped at the entrance to the booth on the second handball court and asked to show me a ski pass. She showed it. A station employee picked him up and said that I was a violator, riding a children's ski pass. But they sold me one at the checkout,!!! This is what kind of attitude to work. As a result, after my indignation, he contacted the ticket office, where they confirmed that I was riding the children's ski pass for the 3rd day!!! So they sold one themselves, on purpose or by accident- it doesn't matter, it's a fact of negligence because of which, at 14 o'clock, I was forced to go down from 3000 m without a ski pass and buy myself a new one. Check everything, everywhere, and take the receipts so that there is proof.

The skating experience is small, before that I was only in Arkhyz for 5 seasons. But Gudauri liked me and all my friends very much. Yes, there are no super-fast black and few red tracks, but the abundance of blue and their width allows you to gain speed and show off, and the abundance of puffy places will not leave any freerider without emotion!

Hello, during my trip to Georgia , I managed to visit a ski resort IN THE SUMMER ))))) I only give 4 stars because I was there in the summer, but the infrastructure is excellent , there is a full load during the season , mostly tourists from Europe ...The length of the road is an impressive 7.5 km , the transfer is at three stops , the air temperature is different at each one , the higher the naturally colder the travel time is about 30 minutes, the price is about a thousand rubles for a round-trip ticket

Relative to Russian resorts, it is very cheap. The main thing is that there would be snow and good weather. I recommend the hotel on the slope. He got out, buckled up his skis and went ahead. The village is on the hills, and even 20-50 meters uphill in ski boots is not very pleasant to stomp. You will always find a place to relax , have a snack and have lunch! You can go to the thermal spa at the Marco Polo Hotel in the evening.

I have been visiting this resort in Georgia for several years. I can't say I'm thrilled. The tracks are prepared for three, the lifts often stop and while they are being velveted, you can freeze a lot, We were lucky and we hung in a closed cabin, after 40 minutes they gave the current and the cabin went. And others were less lucky and did not hang on the chair in the wind. Cafes and restaurants in the resort are quite expensive. There is only one supermarket and its prices are higher than in Tbilisi.

We visited the resort in early March. I enjoyed riding because there are many trails and they are safe. Cool freeride! Yes, because of the thaw, the snow was wet below and bald spots had already appeared, but everything is fine with snow on the upper sections of the trails. However, there are problems with the designation. There are few signs and you often confuse the direction of descent. The resort is mostly populated by foreigners. Both Russians and Belarusians met. The resort is very affordable, except for the food and alcohol in cafes and restaurants, which is expensive. As well as a ski pass for an adult in the region of 2000rubles, ski rental is about the same. We chose the hotel well. (Gudauri Loft). The price is $ 70 per day per apartment. The main feature of this hotel is that it stands right on the highway. I left the room and immediately got on the slope, which is very convenient. I will definitely come here again because the resort is very beautiful and comfortable for skiing. Unfortunately, Arkhyz and Elbrus are inferior to this resort. And Sochi has become very expensive.

The trip was from February 15th to 20th. We rated the ski resort in Gudauri with 10 points, as all the introductory ones coincided: we managed to rent an apartment right at the exit to the ski lifts, the prices for ski passes were very affordable (260 GEL for 5 days), and we also found a completely diverse weather (so we were able to evaluate the work of the resort). There weren't many people during the week, so there were practically no queues. The retreats went out even in heavy snowfall, and rescuers rode down the slope helping those who lay down in a snowdrift. Prices in establishments on the slope are too high, but this is not surprising. I would like to note that there are more diverse restaurants in Novy Gudauri, for example, "Drunk cherry", there are very tasty dishes and an unusual interior. The people are adequate everywhere, so they didn't notice any unpleasant moments for themselves. I definitely recommend visiting this ski resort at least once, because the slopes are very variable and it definitely won't be boring!

There are a lot of trails, there are no queues in relation to Sochi, a lot of good rental services and the reasonable cost of ski passes and housing. The hotel was rented from new Gudauri, beautiful view and nice rooms inside I rode here during the New Year holidays. I was very pleased. I chose it because I lived in Tbilisi, but next time I would have gone from Moscow, since there are direct flights to Vladikavkaz, and the ski resort is not far from the border.

10 hours at the border due to avalanches. And then everything is magical. Good trails, plenty of space for freeriding, few people. One of the disadvantages is that it is very expensive to eat on the mountain. And evening leisure is not particularly provided. You also need to understand that Gudauri is not for expert skating. There are no black trails at all, red and blue. But they're long and fast. I got lucky.

Pros: excellent weather (case) and gorgeous views, a variety of wheelchairs, especially puffy ones and a lot of off-piste skiing, excellent Austrian and French cabins, not expensive ski passes, the proximity of housing (upper Gudauri). Cons: there are few trails at all, and even fewer good ones, guns don't work when they can, so there are a lot of stones on the highway, unlike off-piste places, food prices are cosmic, even in the so-called canteens (marketing), there are no close options for an excursion, except Tbilisi. Bottom line: 3-4 days and somewhere else, especially if without company. Once is enough, we won't eat any more in the coming years.

Only the Georgians could build a resort of excellent European level (in places, of course) and call it a winter resort. From April to July, NOTHING works here, from ski lifts to restaurants and hotels. I was in complete shock, we came for a 3-day walk in the mountains (I confess I messed up and didn't read everything carefully) but I was here in winter and it was a cool place, but who would have expected that in summer there would only be devastation, a complete lack of people and service, you would be met here only by wandering dogs, dirt and a complete absence of anything. I had to go back to Tbilisi . There is no place to walk here without lifts, the Georgian Military Road is not at all conducive to walking, without a car you can only sit in a room here

The resort is actually 2 times smaller. All trails above snow park are unsuitable for skiing. There are so many rocks on them and they are so big that some start rolling down the slope, which is "quite" dangerous. Summary: If you want to keep your skis, don't come here. P.S. The inscriptions “f*ck ruzz” are literally everywhere. P.P.S Sketch: a narrow highway, a blind turn, rocks on the highway around the bend. In a couple of minutes of watching the infamous place, three people fell there (precisely because of the stones). P.P.P.S During one descent from Mt. Sadzele West, scratches formed on the skis so deep that dirt clogged there. (I assure you that this is not a skill issue) P.P.P.P.S Everything described above happened after such a heavy snowfall that the Upper Lars was closed for 3 days.

A wonderful resort! In terms of price/quality ratio, it's just great! Lots of trails, lots of lifts, few people, no queues. Very beautiful views. Relatively inexpensive accommodation and ski passes. We lived in an apartment in Novy Gudauri, very good conditions, a few minutes walk to the ski lifts. The people are generally very friendly, the landlord of the apartment we rented offered a late check-out without extra charges so that we could check in before check-in (we changed our plans at the last moment, tried to extend this apartment through the website, but it didn't work out, we rented another one for one night), when he found out that we were already with Gudauri offered to stop by at any time convenient for us. There is a certain amount of hostility towards Russians, abusive inscriptions are present, but we have not personally encountered this, on the contrary, we have seen a lot of good things from the locals. It's convenient to get there - we flew on a direct flight from St. Petersburg, from Tbilisi - 2.5 hours by car. Some of the disadvantages are few toilets and expensive food. Definitely we will come here again!

We were from 11 to 17 February. The mountains are beautiful, yes. Skipasses are cheap, yes. Equipment rental is inexpensive. Housing can be rented from the trails for adequate money. Yes, the tracks are good, there are many of them. Wide ones. However, they are invisible when the weather is bad. Many of them are not fenced off by anything, and when there is a lot of snow, you just can't see where the edge is. It seems that some routes are shaped the way the snow truck driver wants them to be. Freeride is good, yes, but I repeat, when there is weather. There is no infrastructure or service, compared to Arkhyz or Polyana. There are 1-2 free toilets (queue of 15 people). In cafes, you need to buy something to go to the toilet. And anyway, it's such an occupation to look for a place in ski boots among a bunch of cafes, where to go and where not to go to the toilet. There is a hole in the floor for 2 GEL. The people who stand by the lifts, what are they doing? Are they watching videos?? Why don't they monitor security? Why do 3-4 people sit on the chair instead of 6, while the rest are standing in line and jostling. Many passed without ski passes. If it's snowing or the snow is frozen on the steps, it won't be particularly cleaned. No one speaks the safety rules and rules of conduct on the lift - neither on the screens, nor behind the signs, nor into the loudspeaker. DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE WHO SAYS THERE ARE NO QUEUES - THERE AREN'T ENOUGH OF THEM!!!! In good weather, on weekends, or even during some kind of peak holidays. There are insanely few trash cans, and there are a lot of bottles, food labels, and so on on the slopes. In cafes - some Russians are better off not going into at all. In some cases, you will be treated worse than the Europeans.

An interesting ski trip. But she became a victim of a strange resort. - Cool tracks. Convenient lifts. We enjoyed the ride. - Inexpensive. If you don't rent equipment, then it turns out to be quite a budget trip. We spent $300 for 3 days. But the shoes were his own. - But the village itself is strange. We lived downstairs in high-rise buildings, and what a hell it is to walk along the only busy road, or look for parking in clogged streets. That's debatable.

It's normal, of course, it was strange for me to see that on the highway near the rollout to the first lift they rented and rode tubing... There are mostly students huddling together and it's really not safe. There was little snow this year, but still the tracks were not closed, where there were obviously rocks and bare ice. But the fact that there are no queues on the lift is just great, but in my opinion this is temporary as locals are increasingly learning this type of recreation, sports and tourism seem to be developing.

, General atmosphere The views, mountains, trails and snow are simply amazing! By 10 out of 10 🌟. Indeed, such beauty takes your breath away. However, the service and some aspects that could be improved strangely remain unchanged. , Safety on the streets Roads, steps, and bridges are completely covered in ice. You walk in your shoes and fall all the time. Leaving the hotel becomes a real struggle for survival. People fall every day, but they have never cleaned the paths. It's just a tin can. , Hotels and apartments Housing prices range from 70 to 100 euros per night – doubtful, but OKAY. The rooms have a kitchen, a bed, a sofa and a table. Everything is tired enough, for three ((( In the rooms, the dishes look so tired and battered that it doesn't feel good to eat from them. , Cafes and restaurants If you don't find fault, it's fine. But still, there are such small things as the lack of napkins, sugar in lumps or cold soup for a very small price tag, and even with a 15% tip included, are noticeable. Waiters are often on their phones, and you have to shout to get their attention. 🛒 Shopping There are only two shops in the entire New Gudauri: mini Spar, where the choice is extremely limited. Queues from here to tomorrow. You shouldn't even talk about fruits and vegetables – they were already "dead" by the time you arrived in Gudauri, and the prices for them ... well, you know. , Observance of silence One of the most annoying problems in new Gudauri. At one o'clock in the morning, a snowmobile may well pass under the windows at full speed with such a roar that you jump out of bed, and you will hear an answer to contacting the police.: "What can we do? They work, they take people for a ride." Or, for example, there may be a bar or club on the ground floor in your building. People go out to smoke and just yell, fight and discuss what is happening under the windows, plastic windows do not save at all. Sleep is for weaklings here. Throughout the week, we have never managed to fall asleep before 3-4 in the morning, and at 10 they already turn on the cable car and the music on it. And no one, absolutely no one is doing anything about it, people are complaining, people are moving from room to room, but there's no getting away from it. The police are on duty here around the clock, but in fact it's just the guys in the car who are watching the video and not doing anything, we had a fight at their hood, they didn't even get out of the car.
