The memorial complex in honor of the countrymen is located in the urban settlement of Korma in the Kormyansky district of the Gomel region. The complex includes: an alley leading to the monument in the form of a soldier with a machine gun; plaques with the names of heroes of the Soviet Union on both sides of the alley; marble plaques with the names of fellow countrymen who fought on the fields of the Great Patriotic War. In 1967, a monument was erected on the mass grave - a sculpture of a warrior, on both sides of which there are memorial plates. In 2008, an urn with the ashes of A.A. Filimonov, a native of Kormyanshchina, Hero of the Soviet Union, was buried in the park. In 2009, an Alley of Glory was installed, which houses memorial plaques of natives of Kormyanshchina (heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labor). On April 26, 2023, the renovated memorial complex was opened, which also included walls of memory of villages displaced due to the Chernobyl disaster.
