About game
Tortuga is a naval trading strategy game about a captain building a business across the Caribbean. Start with one ship, buy goods where they are cheap, sell them where demand is high, and keep an eye on prices and cargo space.
Each port has its own economy: production, demand, stock, and prices. In port you can buy ships, hire crew and captains, take governor missions, build workshops, buy property, and manage your fleet.
At sea you will meet traders and pirates. Battles play out in volleys: fire cannons, attempt boarding, or retreat. Victory brings loot and fame. Defeat does not end the run, but it costs gold, cargo, and hull condition.
How to play
Sail between ports on the Caribbean map. Tap the sea or a port, confirm the action, and wait for arrival. Time passes while your ship is moving. On the market, compare buy and sell prices, port stock, and your cargo hold. Buy profitable goods, carry them to another city, and sell them for more. In port, expand your fleet: buy ships, assign captains, and send vessels on routes. Watch crew, repairs, wages, and daily expenses. In town, use the warehouse, property, workshops, tavern, and governor missions. Physical actions require your ship at the pier, while a remote city with owned assets only allows property management. In battle, compare hull, crew, and cannons. Cannon fire deals steady damage, boarding is riskier, and retreat can save the ship when a fight turns bad.Game info
