About game
Three in the morning. The alarm at the Nocturne Gallery went off and fell silent at once. The paintings are all in place, but the shadows are gone: the silhouettes of the people have been cut out and dumped in one tangled heap on the restorer's workbench.
Recognise every figure in the tangle and paint it whole in a single colour — including the parts hidden under other shadows. Once a shadow is recognised, it flies back into its frame.
• 9 famous paintings: Holbein, Repin, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Seurat, David and more.
• 4 halls of rising difficulty — from three figures to a dozen intertwined silhouettes.
• A calm night-museum atmosphere and gentle music: every colour sounds its own note.
• Hints, a close-up of the reference painting and board zoom.
• Progress is saved automatically.
How to play
The black holes in the reference painting are the stolen shadows. On the workbench the same figures lie tangled and piled on top of each other.
Pick a colour and paint every part of one figure, including the places other figures cover. Paint different figures in different colours. When a figure is painted whole and its colour appears nowhere else, the shadow returns to the painting.
Computer: left mouse button — paint, right button — erase or drag the board, wheel — zoom.
Phone: tap — paint, two fingers — zoom and move the board, the eraser is in the palette.
“Unpainted” highlights empty areas; “Hint” shows what the figure in the selected colour still lacks.
