Sumo Shovers is arcade sumo on a round arena.
A ring, a crowd of animals and one law: cross the line and you are out. Pull the aim, let go, and your fighter charges. The longer you hold, the harder the shove and the further you slide.
Every knockout fills your charge, and a full charge goes off as a move: a shockwave throws everyone back, a leap carries you across the ring, a wedge drives a rival to the edge, a chain drags him back. Eleven moves, one for each of the thirty animals.
Arenas bring their own rules: ice, wind, tar, bumpers, a geyser, a cracking floor, a shrinking ring. The last wave is a boss: heavier, with his own move, and he goes down only after several hits.
A fighter has ten levels of its own: knock two out at once, survive a wave with no move, shove someone at the very edge. Half of them earn silver, all ten earn gold.
The daily arena is the same for everyone and always runs under odd conditions. A win colours the day on the calendar and grows your streak.
How to play
The goal in Sumo Shovers. Shove your rivals over the line of the ring and stay on it yourself. A run goes in waves: clear one and the next arrives, clear them all and a new arena opens.
Desktop. Move the mouse and your fighter aims at the cursor. Hold the button to build power, release to shove. A quick click is a nudge, a full hold is a charge.
Phone. Swipe in the direction of the shove. The longer the swipe, the harder the hit.
The move. Every knockout fills the ring around your fighter. Once it is full, your next shove goes off as a move.
Score. A hundred per knockout and more for a run of them: the multiplier climbs to nine while the pause holds. Arenas and bosses pay bonuses.
Coins build up in the fight and unlock new fighters, each with its own weight, cooldown and move.
The end. Go over the line yourself and the run is over, and the score goes to your record.
