Space Skirmish: Rebirth is a vertical-scrolling arcade shooter in the spirit of old coin-op cabinets.
Guide your fighter through endless waves of enemies: some charge straight down, others weave in zigzags, dive with acceleration or spiral away. Every fifth wave brings a boss assembled from a hull and bolt-on modules — cannons, armour plates, wings, antennas with homing missiles. No two loadouts repeat, and each boss flies a new path, from a sweeping figure-eight to a straight charge at your ship.
Points become coins, and coins become upgrades: fire rate, damage, extra guns, hull strength and handling. Your ship changes visibly too — side cannons, armour plating, additional engines and a glowing reactor core appear as you progress.
Power-ups help in a fight: a shield, doubled fire rate and repairs. Scores go to a shared leaderboard that shows both the top players and your own place among nearby rivals.
How to play
Controls are deliberately simple: firing is automatic, so all you do is dodge and line up your shots. Desktop — left and right arrow keys, or A and D. You can also hold the left mouse button and the ship will follow the cursor. Mobile — touch the screen and drag; the ship follows your finger. The goal is to survive as long as possible and score. Colliding with an enemy or taking a hit costs a life and grants a brief window of invulnerability. Destroyed enemies sometimes drop power-ups: a green cross restores a life, a blue shield makes you invulnerable for a few seconds, a yellow bolt doubles your fire rate. Bosses arrive every fifth wave. At half health a boss enters its second phase: it switches trajectory, fires denser volleys and looms closer. When it charges, move aside immediately — ramming costs a life. Between runs, spend coins in the Upgrades screen. Start with fire rate and damage, then add extra guns and hull strength.Game info
