Welcome to the Zone. The laws of physics don't apply here, and stalkers disappear without a trace. Here, every step could be your last.
You will:
- Explore the Zone
Abandoned territories, gloomy forests, deadly swamps, and anomalous fields. Each location conceals dangers and rare artifacts.
- Fight enemies
Mutants, bandits, soldiers, and other stalkers. The turn-based combat system forces you to think ahead: every action matters.
- Collect equipment
Dozens of types of weapons and armor – from a cheap sawed-off shotgun to NATO assault rifles and experimental exoskeletons.
- Survive
In the Zone, you can't simply defeat everyone – you have to think, conserve resources, and know when to avoid danger.
Stalker, remember: the Zone does not forgive the weak. But it generously rewards those who survive and return with artifacts.
Are you ready to take your step?
How to play
Points of interest—locations where you can find enemies, artifacts, or useful resources—are marked on the map.
Carefully examine your surroundings: not every point is safe, and some dangers are best avoided.
While in anomalous zones, you accumulate radiation and expend energy. During combat, enemies deal damage to you. Carefully monitor your character's health.
Artifacts are created in anomalies. Each has unique properties that can help in combat, protect against anomalies, or enhance your abilities.
Before combat, be sure to study the enemy's stats: their health, armor, and damage. If the enemy is too strong, it's best to retreat, stock up on resources, and return prepared. The Zone does not forgive overconfidence.
The map contains places where you can catch your breath: camps, stalker bases, and trading posts. Here you can trade, find out the latest news, take on quests, or simply take a breather.
