Paws & Guns is a twin-stick roguelike about a cute animal with a very un-cute blaster. You're alone on an arena floating in the sky while endless waves of beasts roll in. Move with one stick, aim with the other: wherever you look, the bullets fly — automatically.
Every three waves the arena changes. Diamond, circle, cross, octagon, blob, hourglass, dumbbell — seven non-rectangular maps, reshuffled each run, with cover scattered anew. No two runs are alike. Step off the edge and you fall into the void, so watch your feet.
Between waves you pick one of three cards: swap your gun (pistol, machine gun, shotgun, piercing rifle, grenade launcher) or upgrade damage, fire rate, speed, bullet velocity, pierce and toughness. By the end of a run you've built something all your own.
How to play
1. Move with the left stick (WASD on PC). Aim with the right stick (mouse on PC): you fire automatically in the direction you face.
2. Out of ammo? Your critter reloads on its own. Just keep moving.
3. Clear the whole wave of beasts. Don't walk off the platform edge — you'll fall, and the run ends.
4. Every 3 waves the arena changes. Hide behind crates and props, reposition, keep your distance.
5. After each wave pick one of three cards: a new weapon or an upgrade (damage, fire rate, speed, pierce, toughness).
6. Died? Hit "Continue" (watch a rewarded ad, once per run) to revive at full HP in the center. Or start over.
7. In the menu, choose a difficulty (Easy / Normal / Hard) and unlock new animal skins.
The goal: reach a higher wave than last time and climb the leaderboard. Esc / ⏸ to pause.
