In Meow Echo you're a cat in near-total darkness. Meow, and a neon wave of sound floods the corridors for a moment, revealing walls, fish and dangers. Then move from memory.
But every meow is a risk: a loud sound wakes sleeping dogs. Quieter is safer — yet you can't get far blind. The constant choice between "meow and see" or "stay hidden" is the heart of the game.
• A unique "sound as sight" mechanic — the wave flows through the level's geometry, bending around corners
• Cute but tense stealth: hide in boxes, lure dogs away with a decoy meow
• Rescue kittens and lead them home — each has its own color and voice
• Collect stars and fish; unlock skins, perks and cat-home decor
• Location chapters, daily reward, win streaks, a timer and leaderboards
• Playable with sound off — every cue is mirrored in light
Dark neon aesthetics, soft ASMR audio, short "one more try" levels.
How to play
• Hold the MEOW button (or Space) — the longer you hold, the louder the meow and the wider the wave of light. Release to send it.
• Tap the field (or click) — the cat runs there across explored tiles.
• A loud meow reveals more but wakes sleeping dogs — they move toward the sound. Wait it out in a box or lure them with a decoy meow.
• Reach the fish to clear the level. Along the way grab 3 stars and rescue hidden kittens.
• The 💡 button lights the whole level (rewarded). Caught? You can continue from the spot.
Tip: snoring reveals a sleeping dog even without meowing. Quieter is safer.
