Dark Forest is a dark idle/incremental game about a protagonist lost in the Dark Forest with no memory or name.
Waking up in endless darkness, you lead faceless people from a campfire to an Imperium, explore the forest, gather resources, and fight the hierarchy of darkness — from Messengers to Death itself. Each enemy can be killed, absorbing their essence and power, or spared — their spirit will become your ally.

How to play
You wake up in the Dark Forest with no memory. Your goal is to explore the forest, build a settlement, and uncover the truth. Basics: Gather basic resources by clicking buttons: Chop Wood, Mine Stone, Scavenge, Dredge. Craft tools (Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel), hire workers, build houses. Once you craft a Firepit, workers will gather resources automatically. Progression: Unlock new locations, upgrade tools. Fight the enemies of Darkness — each can be killed (gain their essence) or spared (gain an ally spirit). Collect Singularities and craft charms — they grant powerful passive abilities. Boss and the Cat: Progress through the Enemies tab to reach the final fight. A mysterious cat will appear over time — follow the diary to uncover the story. Rebirths: Once you've gathered enough resources, destroy the Heart of the Forest and start anew, keeping key upgrades and unlocking infinite enhancements. Controls: Click buttons with your mouse.
