About game
Cursed Observatory is a turn-based deckbuilding roguelike. Every run starts with a small deck and ends either at the top of the tower or in its cellars.
— Two heroes with distinct styles: the Ironclad stokes Heat that empowers his strikes but burns him; the Trapper poisons foes and lays traps under their attacks.
— Over 120 cards, 60 relics with unique rules, potions, and events with real choices and real costs.
— Three acts: the observatory cellars, the machine tiers and the astral summit, each with its own enemies, elites and multi-phase bosses.
— A branching act map: fights, campfires, shops, treasures and events — you choose the route.
— Death is not the end: unlock Ascension levels and a second hero, and climb the leaderboard.
— The run is saved after every action, even mid-combat: play in sessions of a couple of minutes.
How to play
Your goal is to clear three acts of the tower and defeat the Observer. Each turn you have 3 energy and 5 cards. A card costs energy (the number in the circle): attacks deal damage, skills grant block or effects, powers last for the whole fight. Block absorbs damage and resets at the start of your turn. Every enemy shows its intent: how much damage it will deal or what it will do. Read it and decide whether to strike or defend. When you are done, press End Turn. Controls: drag a card onto an enemy, or tap a card and then a target. Use the mouse on desktop. After a fight pick your rewards: gold, a potion, one card out of three. On the act map plot a path through fights, campfires (heal or upgrade a card), shops and events. Relics grant permanent bonuses for the whole run. If you fall, start again wiser: Ascension levels and the second hero unlock over time.Game info
