How to play
In front of you is an 8x8 square board and two sets of pieces: white and black. The players take turns, and the main goal of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, that is, to create a threat from which he can no longer defend himself. The whites go first. In one turn, the player moves one piece. Each piece moves in its own way: The pawn moves forward one square, and from the initial position it can move to two at once. The pawn hits diagonally on one square. The rook moves in a straight line: up, down, left or right to any number of free squares. The bishop moves diagonally to any number of free squares. The knight moves with the letter "G": two squares in the same direction and one to the side. The knight can jump over other pieces. The queen is the strongest piece. He walks both in a straight line and diagonally on any number of free squares. The king moves one square in any direction. He must be protected: if the king is under threat, it is called a check.Game info
