About game
How well do you know the history of painting? Hundreds of genuine masterpieces await — from Renaissance masters and strict academic classicism to the Russian realists, the Impressionists, the avant-garde and the Soviet era. The task sounds simple but rarely is: look at the painting and name its author from four options.
The game is split into six chapters by era and school. The first is open right away; the others unlock with coins you earn for correct answers. After every answer you see the painting's title and its creator — so your eye sharpens naturally, round after round.
It's a calm, educational quiz with no race against the clock: study the brushwork at your own pace, or test your instinct at speed. A great way to spend time well, show your knowledge to friends, and discover artists you once walked past in museums.
Hundreds of questions, six eras, thousands of famous paintings — find out what your eye can really do.
How to play
It's simple:
1. Look at the painting at the top of the screen.
2. Below it are four names. Pick the one you think painted it.
3. A correct answer earns coins and points; a wrong one highlights the real author so you remember it.
4. After each answer you see the painting's title and its creator. Read these captions — it's the best way to train your eye.
5. Spend the coins you collect to unlock new chapters: six in all, by era and school of painting.
Not sure? Use a hint — it removes some of the wrong options. Play at any pace; your progress is saved. The more you play, the better you recognise a master's hand by style, colour and subject. Good luck!
