Checkers is an exciting board game for two, where players compete in strategy and tactics. The game is played on a board of 8x8 cells, alternating colors. Each player has 12 checkers, which are located on the dark squares on the three horizontal lines closest to him.
How to play
The game of checkers takes place on an 8x8 board. Each player starts with 12 checkers on the dark fields of the first three rows. The goal is to capture all the opponent's checkers or block them. The players take turns moving the checkers diagonally forward. If the opponent's checker is on the diagonal field following the player's checker, and there is an empty field behind it, the checker can "eat" the opponent by jumping over it into an empty field and removing the opponent's checker from the board. If the checker reaches the extreme row of the opponent, it turns into a "king" — a stronger piece that can move any number of fields diagonally in any direction. The king can also "eat" several opponent's checkers in one move. The game continues until one of the players reaches the goal — either by capturing all the opponent's checkers, or by depriving him of the opportunity to move.
