As you know, chess is one of the oldest strategy games in the world. An excellent game for developing such qualities as tactics, logic and memory. The goal of the game is to "capture" the opponent's king with 12 pieces at his disposal. I invite you to try your hand and wish you victory!
Each set of pieces includes: a king (♔, ♚), a queen (♕, ♛), two rooks (♖, ♜), two bishops (♗, ♝), two knights (♘, ♞) and eight pawns (♙, ♟ ). In the starting position, the pieces of both sides are placed as shown in the diagram. White occupies the first and second ranks, black - the seventh and eighth. The pawns are located on the second and seventh ranks, respectively.
How to play
Click on the piece you want to move, then point at the square of the board where you want to place the piece. The goal of the game is to "capture" the opponent's king with 12 pieces at his disposal. I invite you to try your hand and wish you victory! The game takes place on a board divided into equal square cells, or fields. The board size is 8x8 cells. Vertical rows of fields (verticals) are designated by Latin letters from a to h from left to right, horizontal rows (horizontals) - by numbers from 1 to 8 from bottom to top; Each field is identified by a combination of the appropriate letter and number.
