"2048 Alphabet" is a familiar merge puzzle with a fresh linguistic twist. Instead of numbers, letters appear on the board: A+A=B, B+B=C, all the way to the winning K. If you keep going, you can reach Q - the final letter in the game.
Simple mechanics, great for quick breaks and long high-score runs:
• Classic 2048 rules on a 4×4 board
• 17 unique color-coded letter tiles
• Scoring for every merge and a leaderboard
• Daily check-in rewards: next-letter peeks and extra lives
• Boosters: undo, peek the next tile, and a second life after game over
• Auto-save - close the tab and pick up exactly where you left off
• Sound effects, background music, and haptics on mobile devices
If you already know 2048, you'll master it in one swipe; if not, the colorful letters make it obvious what merges with what.
How to play
The goal is to combine matching letters and reach K. Two A tiles merge into B, two B tiles into C, and so on. After winning, you can keep going all the way to Q - the final letter.
Controls:
• On mobile - swipe in the direction you want: up, down, left, right
• On desktop - arrow keys or W, A, S, D
• All tiles shift in the chosen direction; matching neighbours merge into the next letter of the alphabet
• A new letter (usually A, occasionally B) appears after every move
• The game ends when the board is full and no moves are left
Boosters (buttons next to the board):
• Undo — reverts your last move
• Peek — reveals which letter will spawn next
• Second life — after game over, removes the three smallest tiles so you can keep playing
Come back every day: a daily login streak rewards you with peeks and extra lives. In Settings you can mute sound and music, switch the language, and open the leaderboard.
