About game
A math simulator for text tasks. We are learning how to make equations based on the plot of the problem. There are two stages in the question: guess the equation from the text of the problem and guess the expression or equations from the solution of the problem from the description.
You don't need to solve the text task itself in the simulator! We are learning to understand which relationships (described verbally) correspond to which expressions (mathematical, in equations). The skill of correctly composing equations and systems of equations is a solid foundation for future successful problem solving.
Questions appear naturally: we repeat difficult ones more often, correctly solved ones – with increasing intervals 1 – 4 – 16 – 64 of the day. The results are shown in the table: log in to your account and see what progress you have made.
The tasks are about grades 1-5, but there are also older classes (where there is not one equation, but a system of equations). The difficulty from the older class is compensated by the lack of need to solve.
How to play
Click on the "Solve the example!" button. First, the first stage: a text problem and three equations/systems will appear. Guess which equation fits the text of the problem (x is always taken as the value about which the question "how much" is in the problem). Mark your choice, click "Answer!" – you will see if you guessed the equation correctly. The [ ⟷ ] button will be added (see Management) Now the second stage: the words describe the values from the correct equation, and you use the [◄] / [►] buttons to select their numeric and alphabetic expressions. Click "Answer!" again, and you will see which expressions/equations are guessed correctly: the correct answers will be highlighted in green, the incorrect ones in red. Click on this red/green text with expressions, and you will see only the correct answers in white. See the results of the previous tasks.
